What CureCheck Lab service covers

CureCheck Lab service is how we keep UV curing on track for Gauteng, Cape Town, Durban and beyond. This service gives you in-person or remote help with daily care, operator training, and troubleshooting for CureCheck Lab systems. If your crew has just commissioned new equipment or you have changed a workflow, we come alongside with practical guidance instead of a sales pitch. You get advice that accounts for load-shedding, industrial park transport, and common fitment choices, plus how timing windows shift when you have to shuttle bottles between, say, Midrand and Germiston.

It suits production and print teams with a CureCheck Lab system doing bottle or tube decoration, especially where finish quality matters and handling cycles are tight. If you are a one-person show, we can scale training for small batch or sample runs. For large teams or multi-shift bays, we schedule group sessions to keep timing honest and downtime low.

Who this service works for (and when it does not)

The CureCheck Lab service is most helpful when you are running bottle or tube lines where the print or finish spec might change, or when municipal power interruptions force you to adjust shift windows. If your print room has regular turnover or if the operator changed again this quarter, we can start with the basics or fill gaps. We work best with crews that are willing to walk the line and flag sticking points, not teams looking for a hands-off fix after a rush job. If your finish or ink comes from another vendor and does not match our specs, we will explain workarounds but cannot re-engineer the chemistry.

Where the service is less useful: if your system is already locked down, with no need for help on fixtures or ink, or if you need only PDF manuals, you will not need full support. The training also will not swap out for a technician visit if you have a blown circuit or drive fault out of warranty.

How the service runs on real South African floors

Most sessions kick off with a review of your last run and any site photos you send. If you flag a finish or timing constraint (say, labels rubbing off in Cape Town’s humidity), we will bring practical examples for your bench, not just a catalogue of what is possible. We are used to Highveld dust, three-phase hitches, and the usual municipal paperwork needed for moving kit between provinces. After the visit or call, we leave you with a one-page sequence: which fixtures suit your shapes, which ink to use for shelf life, and who should check what before you sign off the next batch.

In one Germiston field example, a client was losing print clarity after bottles sat under a factory heater. We worked through their constraint list, checked their ink cure, and swapped to an aluminium fixture that managed the heat. The operator snapped site photos, sent a short timing note, and we narrowed the troubleshooting without the back-and-forth. Print loss dropped to almost zero for the next two orders.

What to prepare before you email us

Fast support always starts with solid basics. Before you send a message through our contact form, get your site photos ready (two angles is fine), note your process constraint (timing, heat, power, bottle shape), and have a timing window in mind. If you have a drawing set or messy spec pack, send that too. It is easier for us to spot what works if we see the site and know when you need help.

If this is your first time briefing us, you do not need to write up a formal RFI. A line or two about what changed since last run, plus your team’s main issue or question, is enough to start. You do not need to make the email fancy. If you get stuck, check CureCheck Lab specifications for details or look at CureCheck Lab fixtures & accessories for common hardware.

Pitfalls, missed steps and how we avoid them

The biggest issues always follow skipped constraints or mis-matched timing. Picking a finish or ink before you name your shipment constraint usually leads to rush fees, wasted inventory, or return visits. We see this most often when teams fixate on the flashiest ink or the newest fixture, not on what their actual bench or process can support. SA bottle and print rooms are not all the same: a Durban team might need humidity checks, while Polokwane cares more about dust and temperature swings.

After each CureCheck Lab service job, we keep a one-liner internal note: what constraint blocked the last similar job, when it happened, and what fixed it. That way, we do not repeat the same mistakes, and you spend less time waiting for answers that fit your floor. If you want a sequence that matches your local plant, email us when you’re ready, and we will respond with a practical plan instead of a brochure.
