What these templates are, and aren’t

Promo art templates are ready-made art boards sized to fit the bottles and caps we run in the PromoRun Kit programme. Each template matches a bottle type and printable zone, letting you drop in logos, campaign lines or limited-run artwork for UV decoration. We built these for craft brewers, custom skincare labs and promo lines across Gauteng, the Cape, Durban and further. They suit teams needing fast, repeatable artwork setup for sampling or short runs, where guessing at print zones will cost time.

These templates are not a fit for bulk lines needing mass customisation, or for projects with non-standard packaging that never sees our fixture jaws (see the fixture jaw guide). If you use containers from outside our catalogue or need embossing, engraving or secondary processes, let us know before using these files.

Who uses them, and when

We wrote these art boards for South African brand managers, studio operators and print bay teams who need working files for early-stage visuals, final proofs or one-off campaign units. They’re widely used when briefing product launches or promo events, or when a brand wants to check UV colour and coverage on a sample before greenlighting the next run. Operators often pair the templates with our notes and GlassGuard care card to keep outputs true on pack out days.

Not for hobbyists or lines with bottles that never run on UV decorated samples. If your site receives bottles filled and capped by a contract packer, check with your operator if these print zones line up with the incoming container spec. They also suit agencies prepping visuals for in-store displays prior to national campaigns, and those on tight lead times for launches around public holidays or expo dates.

How the templates work on South African floors

Bottles in South African production floors take a battering from load-shedding drop-offs, Highveld dust, coastal humidity and hands in and out of packing lines. Our UV templates factor in these real conditions, keeping print clear of thread starts or vent positions and matching the actual jaw grip seen on most promo lines in Germiston, Gqeberha, and Cape Town. Each file shows a marked printable area and a non-print zone, so you won't lose branding to a cap, tamper ring or bottle seam.

A typical workflow: your designer pulls the template for a 330 ml PET bottle from the pack, drops the campaign artwork into the label zone, exports to PDF, and emails it to the floor. The operator checks the jaw grip area, flags a logo at risk of rubbing off near a cap thread, shifts the art 2 mm lower, and the sample moves to the print bay for spot curing. Small steps like this save hours when the next batch runs before Friday's courier.

Checklist: What to prepare before emailing for tailored packs

A little prep on your side helps us turn tailored templates around fast. Gather all the details below before emailing our contact form. Missing specs slow things down, especially if your brand switches bottle suppliers or capping lines between runs.

Pitfalls and how to avoid them

Common snags with new promo art files include mismatched print zones, logos placed under cap threads, and template scaling errors when switching between glass and PET bottles. It’s easy to overlook how a jaw grip or cap liner can nudge a label zone up or down a few millimetres, especially with South African bottle suppliers changing specs mid-year.

Avoid rushed approvals: check sample day fit with our sample day checklist or send a rough printout to your line for a quick wrap test before committing to UV. Save time by using our catalogue path brief for matching bottle types. When in doubt, give our contact form a shout with photos and your timing. We can usually flag issues before it holds up your next batch.
